1. No account, no identifier
LanaTag asks for no sign-up, no email address and no password. The app creates no identifier to track you, and uses no analytics or advertising tooling. The lanatag.com website is covered separately, in sections 9 and 10.
2. What stays on your phone
This data never leaves your device, except in the case described in section 3:
- your profile: first name if you enter one, allergens, diet, spice tolerance;
- your reading history and the corresponding photos;
- your calorie cap, which is never sent to the server;
- your appearance and language preferences.
Photos are excluded from automatic cloud backup. They are included in a direct device-to-device transfer.
3. What is sent to read a menu
When you start a reading, the app sends the photo and your food profile (allergens, diet, spice tolerance) to our service, which passes them to Anthropic's analysis model to produce the result.
No identifier accompanies that request — no name, no email, no device number. We cannot link two readings together, nor attach them to a person.
Our service keeps nothing. It has no database, no storage bucket and no log of the content sent. The photo and profile are used for the duration of the analysis, then gone.
Processing at Anthropic is governed by its own terms: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
4. Health data
Your allergens and diet are sensitive data under Article 9 GDPR. You enter them yourself, freely, and that act constitutes explicit consent to their use for the sole purpose described in section 3. You may change or erase them at any time from the Profile screen.
5. Permissions requested
- Camera: to photograph a menu or a label.
- Photo library: only if you pick an existing image. The app accesses only the one you select.
LanaTag requests no location, no contacts, no calendar and no fitness data.
6. Your rights
GDPR grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. For the app these are exercised directly on the device, since we hold nothing: the Profile screen lets you change or erase your data, and uninstalling the app removes all of it. For the waiting list, see section 9.
You may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
7. Children
LanaTag is not intended for children under 13 and knowingly collects no data about them.
8. Publisher and contact
LanaTag is published by One Ace.

9. The website waiting list
If you leave your email address on lanatag.com to be told when the app ships, we keep it for that purpose alone. Purpose: to send you one message on launch day. Legal basis: your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Retention: until that message is sent, and at most twelve months from sign-up. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and a request to support@lanatag.com is enough to have it erased at once.
The app itself never asks for an email address. The two are unrelated: nothing connects a waiting-list sign-up to a reading made in the app.
10. Website analytics
lanatag.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie, creates no identifier and follows nobody from one site to another. We read totals from it — visits, pages viewed — never an individual's behaviour. The app carries no analytics tooling of any kind.
1. The service
LanaTag reads a photo of a restaurant menu or an ingredient list and checks it against the food profile you entered: allergens, diet, spice tolerance. The service is published by One Ace.
2. What LanaTag is not
LanaTag is a reading aid, not a medical device. Its results are produced by an artificial intelligence model interpreting a photograph. That reading may be incomplete or wrong: blurred text, a dish whose composition is not written down, a recipe that changes from one day to the next all escape analysis.
If your allergy is severe, always ask the staff or read the packaging. LanaTag replaces neither that check nor medical advice.
LanaTag certifies nothing. The halal status it shows describes what is printed on the photo, never a certification we would grant. Certification is issued by a body, not by an app.
One Ace cannot be held responsible for the consequences of a decision taken on the strength of a reading alone.
3. Subscription
Access to LanaTag requires a subscription. Its price, duration and contents are shown in the app before any purchase, in your currency.
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand. Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play, never by us: we see no payment details.
Cancellation is done in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refund requests are handled by the platform where the purchase was made.
A subscription is tied to the store account it was bought with. It appears automatically on your other devices using that same account. A subscription bought on iOS cannot be moved to Android, or the other way round.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, not to attempt to bypass the subscription, and not to use it for unlawful purposes.
5. Changes to the service
LanaTag may change, and some features may be modified or withdrawn. If the service is discontinued, current subscriptions will be refunded pro rata through the relevant platform.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
7. Contact
support@lanatag.com
There is no account to delete
LanaTag asks for no sign-up and keeps nothing on its servers. All your data — profile, history, photos — lives on your phone, and nowhere else.
Erase your readings
Open the Profile screen, then tap Clear my readings. The history and its photos are deleted at once.
Erase your profile
From the same screen, unselect your allergens and diets.
Delete everything
Uninstalling the app erases everything it has stored.
Leaving the waiting list
If you left your address on lanatag.com, write to support@lanatag.com and it will be erased without delay. Every message we send also carries an unsubscribe link.
Your subscription
A subscription is cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings — uninstalling the app does not cancel it.

support@lanatag.com
Write to us
support@lanatag.com
Tell us your phone model and the app version, shown under Profile → About. If a reading looks wrong, attach the photo of the menu or label: it is what lets us understand.
Restore my subscription
On the subscription screen, tap Restore purchases. A subscription is tied to the App Store or Google Play account it was bought with: you need to be signed in to that same account.
Cancel or request a refund
Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings, at least 24 hours before renewal. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by the store where you bought it: we see no payment details.
A reading looks wrong
Take the photo again in good light, with the whole menu in the frame. Blurred or cropped text reads poorly.
LanaTag is a reading aid, not medical advice. If your allergy is severe, always ask the staff or read the packaging.
Erase my data
There is no account: everything lives on your phone. In Profile, tap Clear my readings; uninstalling the app erases the rest. Details on the Delete my data page.
